Introduction:
Sometimes in stories or movies, we see a man who does the right thing, even when he doesn’t have to.  The other guys are going to do something bad, and he doesn’t go along with it, even though he could and not get caught.  The bad guys turn to this man who does what he knows is right, and they say: “What are you? Some kind of Boy Scout?”   And I say, yes, we’re some kind of Boy Scouts.

[Leader(s) sing the verse. One group in the audience is the “stomp-stomp” group (or slap thighs with both hands), one group is the clapping group,  everybody sings on the chorus part.]

Verse 1:
Got a little sing-along —
It’s not a hard song.
Just pay attention and you can’t go wrong.
When I point to you
You’ve got something to do.
All you gotta do is follow your cue.
Chorus: We’re some kind of Boy Scouts. (repeat)

Verse 2:
There’s a terrible drought.
We can fix it, no doubt!
You know it’s gonna rain whenever we camp out.
No clouds yet,
But I’ll make you a bet:
Everything you bring is gonna get wet.

We’re gonna take a hike.
