Regular readers may recall the story of Kirby, the dog with the leg problem who came down with Parvovirus before we could deal with his leg. He was on I.V. fluids for four days. It was another two days before he could really keep much food down. Today he was pronounced recovered from Canine Parvovirus Enteritis. He got a sorely needed bath (thank you, Mr. Greg — scroll down for his picture), which improved everybody’s quality of life (marinating in bloody diarrhea really gives a dog that "je ne sais quoi"). Then we did a few neurological tests, and he passed them all. This means that it is very likely that surgery can give him a usable leg. In the meantime, we’ll be ordering a brace to support and protect his leg from Orthovet.com.
Yeah Kirby, and of course all of the great care givers!!
