Today we were able to recover three bags of M/D from our clients and get them a substitute diet. The diabetic cats don’t seem to be feeling bad. One of the cats is not diabetic, but was eating the food for weight control. She has been staying in Kennett as a temporary pet-sitting arrangement and had not really seemed to "be herself". Fortunately her kidney function tests are normal. On Veterinary Information Network there are posts from veterinarians whose M/D-eating patients have suffered kidney failure. We continue to monitor the situation as best we can and I’ll keep updating the KVC webpage.
